Mouawad, founded in 1890 is one of the world’s most prestigious international diamond houses. The family business is led by fourth generation Co-Guardians, Fred, Alain, and Pascal Mouawad. Over the years the Mouawad family has acquired some of the largest and rarest diamonds in the world and named a few after their eponymous house.The family’s on-going support to further research and education for the global industry led to third generation, Robert Mouawad, receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and having the World Headquarters of the GIA Campus in Carlsbad, California named in his honor.

Mouawad also holds four Guinness World Records for the most valuable handbag (2010), most expensive bra (Victoria’s Secrets 2003), most valuable diamond necklace (2013), and most expensive pear shaped diamond bought at auction (1990).
